establishment of an intellectual property court, affirming it will

France's Agence Natioanle de la Recherche (ANR) have selected seven
projects out of 41 proposals to be included in NSC-ANR scientific
cooperation in 2008, NSC officials said Tuesday. NSC-ANR cooperation began in 2007. The two institutions have
agreed that some projects from both countries will be selected

| PRESIDENT URGES CHINA TO STOP ISOLATING TAIWAN | President Ma Ying-jeou called on China
Thursday to end its isolation of Taiwan in the international
community, saying such a move is essential to improving relations
between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Ma said that since he took office, he has been promoting a China
policy that is different from that of his predecessor in the hope of
tempering cross-strait tensions and improving ties between the two
sides. China can play a very crucial role in this process by ending its
