Codex Politics thrives on the participation of its users. The site does not only assemble political materials and makes them available online - the vitality, the dynamism and ultimately the interest of this site rests on the contribution of its users and partners.
The development of Codex Politics is subjected to the following elements:
- number and diversity, both from a legal and geographic point of view, of its contributors;
- interactivity resulting from the application of site functionality and online publishing;
- geographic and linguistic expansion of the network of the Codex Politics community.
Every person wishing to publish political materials online can do so on Codex Politics, simply by sending in their documents using the document input form for online publishing. There is no censorship apart from the necessary spam checks and random content verification.
Codex Politics allows and invites political debate online. The articles of legal doctrine and, in a more general way, all documents contained in our database can be commented and the notes and comments remain visible on the site as elements of a debate. At the same time, Codex Politics develops functionality of interaction in real time, which will be more than tools for legal chat sessions.
To sum up, Codex Politics has adopted a new approach to political information online. This approach is international, interactive and links existing online instruments, in order to stem up participation of legal professionals. The site has received its doctrinal focus for the following reasons:
Political doctrine is not yet present enough on the Internet; and interaction between the creators and commentators of legal doctrine requires an electronic support tool which allows communication beyond geographic borders.
Codex Politics relies on the concept of its dynamic community dimension. The political professions cannot escape globalisation, because the situations and relations governed by the law are being rapidly internationalised. When legal norms have to be applied to situations which become ever more transnational, then those norms themselves are engulfed in a process of internationalisation. In order to contribute to the spreading of international relations between an ever increasing number of political professionals, Codex Online has defined its community dimension which serves the exchanges between political professionals across the globe, regardless of geographic boundaries or time limitations. Theoreticians and practitioners of politics thus benefit from a new forum of publication, dialogue and interaction.
